If Addicted To Sugar You Need To Know These 5 Scary Statistics About Diabetes and How You Can Change

If addicted to sugar you need to know these 5 scary statistics about diabetes and how with a few simple changes you can avoid being part of this group.
Today's headline in my local newspapers Health & science section: "Worldwide escalation in sugar diabetes" caught my attention since I am addicted to sugar and that I believe is a major factor in getting adult onset diabetes. What new information could I get from them and was there any sugar solutions in the article.

Here is what I learned:

1. The number of adults worldwide with sugar diabetes has more than doubled in three decades, jumping to an estimated 347 million from only 153 million in 1980. Isn't that scary?  Are you afraid of becoming one of these people?
2. Diabetes is no longer just for the rich countries and is quickly becoming the defining issue of global health for the next decade.
3. Believe it or not, those figures do not include overweight children and young adults who have yet to reach middle age.
4. The study examined people over 25 in 199 different countries.
5. Type 2 diabetes in adults was the most prevalent type of sugar diabetes found.

What is my opinion of all of this?  It is SO preventable! And my first instinct was: Anyone could make certain small changes in their lifestyle and eating habits on a consistent basis. If they did that, they would reap huge health rewards. But you have to want to make the changes and willing to do so for it to work. In my opinion, you just need to find the right plan or guidelines that resonate with you, and then follow up.

And if you don't want to cook, with many of the plans you can still eat out at fast foods occasionally. For example, you can go to Wendy's and have their chili and a tossed salad. You can go to family picnic's and enjoy a burger with a side of cole slaw. You can celebrate your holiday's as you always did, you just change your food selections and  how you behave when you are there. Wouldn't that be worth it?

Do you have anyone in your family or circle of friends that is currently a diabetic?  Take a moment and talk to them about what it is like to be a diabetic and how it affects their daily life. Ask them:

1. what their energy level is like, before and after, contracting diabetes
2. can they still be active
3. do they have any issues with their feet (a common complaint)
4. what happens if they forget to take their medication
5. what financial burden has it placed on them and if they have had to cut out other pleasures to pay for the medication.

When you take a look at the issues caused by getting diabetes, it may change your attitude and efforts in preventing the disease.

At this point you can see that with a little bit of conscious effort and doing a little extra homework, you can do a lot to avoid getting the debilitating disease of diabetes. Download your Special Report on "Sugar Solutions That Work" by visiting Crush Sugar Cravings to get started right away.
